"Good Night for you"

In Heidelberg, a total of nine Night Coaches will be out and about in teams of 3 on the Neckarwiese and in the Old Town in the future.
The faces of the awareness campaign of the night mayors, Heidelberg Marketing GmbH, and the citizens and public order office of the city of Heidelberg will be in the future every Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. in use. The Night Coaches are to enter into conversation with the groups of people present, draw attention to the various needs and raise awareness of existing problems in public spaces.

In the sense of "street workers," they show presence in the city area. This pilot project is an attempt to prevent conflicts and avoid them proactively in advance. The Night Coaches act in a communicative and citizen-friendly manner.

Heidelberg becomes nachtsam.

The campaign which is funded by the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Integration "nachtsam. Mit Sicherheit besser feiern" ("Celebrate better with safety") has been training employees of nightlife establishments since September 2021 to take preventive and active action against sexual harassment, discrimination, and assaults against women in nightlife, and was implemented regionally with a billboard campaign and appeals to all those involved to keep the goals and orientation of a safe nightlife in mind.
