Kirchheim is located in the southwest of the city and, with a total area of 1,500 hectares, is Heidelberg's largest district. 

The proportion of young people and families, especially with small children, is above average. Outstanding for the further development of the district is the conversion areas on Kirchheim territory, which became free with the departure of the Americans in 2013 and now play a role in the new urban expansion. 
In Kirchheim you will find, among other things, the SNP Dome, the RV park, an "Alla-hopp" facility, and much more.
